Demo practice is useful. Live trading is different.
Practising with virtual money is a starting point, not a prediction of real-market results.
Demo account
- Orders are practised using virtual funds.
- Learn to navigate MT5 and review trade history.
- Experiment with setups and position sizing without using real capital.
- Virtual performance is for learning only.
Live account
- Trading uses real deposited capital.
- Orders involve real execution conditions and possible differences in price or filling.
- Leverage can amplify losses as well as gains.
- Emotions, financial consequences and liquidity matter more.
A demo account cannot fully reproduce slippage, liquidity constraints, execution delays or the psychological pressure of risking real money. Stop-loss orders cannot ensure an exact exit price.
